Tone and Mood
Divergent
The tone and the mood of Divergent changes often. In the beginning of the book the tone was more relaxed and laid back because the characters were just living normal life. But as the story gets more tense and serious and the mood changes. this happens because both children in the family change groups.
The tone of Beatrice's' (Tris) brother is serious when he says "You need to think about your self" when they are going to chose their groups this shows he is going to change. This influenced Tris to change groups.
How does thinking about yourself change the tone and mood? Is it suspense to at ease or vice versa?
